Adjustable Trundle Wheel Single

Accurate, durable design with rubber tyre for precise measurements.

Overview

Facilitates precise measurement of distances with a clear pointer and an adjustable clicker ranging from 100mm to a metre.

The Adjustable Trundle Wheel stands as a tool of choice for measuring distances, areas, shapes, and angles, suited for learners aged 5 to 11 years. Its rubber tyre ensures both durability and accuracy for various learning environments, complemented by an adjustable clicker, offering adjustments from every 100mm to every metre.

In Year 1, it aids in understanding and solving measurement problems, evolving in Year 2 to support standard units’ estimation and measurement. By Year 3 and Year 4, its application expands to more complex tasks such as comparing, adding, subtracting measurements, and calculating perimeters for comprehensive curriculum support.
Across Key Stages 1 and 2, this resource enriches learning by making measurement interactive and engaging, fitting perfectly for individual, intervention, and group learning scenarios. It bridges practical problems with curriculum objectives, making it an essential tool in the mathematics toolkit.

Supports the National Curriculum

Mathematics, Year 1, Measurement

Compare, describe and solve practical problems for lengths and heights.

Mathematics, Year 1, Measurement

Measure and begin to record the following: lengths and heights, mass/weight, capacity and volume, time (hours, minutes, seconds).

Mathematics, Year 2, Measurement

Choose and use appropriate standard units to estimate and measure length/height in any direction (m/cm), mass (kg/g), temperature (°C), capacity (litres/ml) to the nearest appropriate unit.
