Loose Parts Tonal Rainbow Wooden Boulder Blocks

A colourful collection of rainbow boulders in three colour ways perfect for building and balancing.

Overview

These boulders can slot into any construction or loose parts area. With their varied facets, children can manipulate by building and balancing, developing their persistence and problem solving.

Children can explore, manipulate and manoeuvre these colourful bricks to create. These can be used within small world locations, to make super caves, towering mountains and homes. There are so many language opportunities to support children in new vocabulary and to understand that colours are so much more than just red, green, and blue. They can be crimson, olive, and azure. A versatile collection of tessellating boulders to build children’s creativity and problem solving skills.

Engaging with these blocks helps strengthen physical skills whilst also enhancing spatial awareness, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through open-ended play, children naturally explore early mathematical concepts, supporting and nurturing cognitive development while aligning with the EYFS maths objectives.
Additionally, these blocks promote creativity and artistic exploration. Children can create simple models confidently, while articulating the range of tonal colours they observe and choose for their designs. The process allows them to articulate and develop their self-expression and vocabulary through the expressive art and design goals within the EYFS.
