They enhance mathematics through counting and sequencing, and support creative design in expressive arts. Colour changing capabilities foster curiosity, providing a dynamic sensory experience that captivates children.
Explore cause and effect with your youngest learners. Build an illuminated castle or dazzling den in the construction area. Use simply as ambient lights to create a calming space or during sensory play activities to promote self-regulation skills. The Sensory Glow ICT Construction Blocks support early years language development including prepositions, colours, counting and sequencing alongside the endless opportunities to introduce new vocabulary as they play and explore. What happens to the lights when you drape voile scarves over the top and how do they change when the blocks are stacked next to a bright window?

Ideal for elucidating concepts of cause and effect in ‘Understanding the World’, children observe changes as blocks are stacked or covered, promoting enquiry and exploration. Each construction block includes an easy-to-use switch, facilitating interactive and cooperative play, essential for social learning environments.
Maintaining these blocks is straightforward—simply wipe with a damp cloth. Constructed for durability and safety, they’re suitable for all ages in nursery settings. Each set includes 12 cubes – 4 large measuring 15cm and 8 small measuring 7.5cm. Please note, each block requires two AA batteries, which are not included. Keep the blocks dry as submersion in water may damage the electronics.
